Municipal Court
The Post Municipal Court is the judicial branch of the City of Post. It is committed to administering justice in a fair, efficient and timely manner.
Municipal Court Jurisdiction
The Court has jurisdiction over the following types of cases within the City limits:
- Class C fine-only offenses (traffic offenses and criminal offenses)
- Municipal Ordinance Violations
- Animal Control Violations
Appearances & Responses
All citations and summonses are assigned a deadline to appear in court. This date is by which a defendant (or their attorney) must notify the Court of how they wish to answer to their charges. Appearances may be made in person or by mail. Telephone calls do not constitute an appearance.

Warrant Information
You can cancel your warrant if you enter a plea of “No Contest” or “Guilty” and pay all of the fines assessed.

Consequences of Not Handling Your Citation
Arrest warrants issued out of the Post Municipal Court are addressed to any peace officer of the State of Texas.

If you suspect that your driver’s license has been suspended, you must contact the Texas Department of Public Safety or go online.

If you are 16 years of age or younger, you must appear before the judge in person with your parent or guardian.
