Post Animal Control serves the citizens and animals within the city and promotes responsible pet ownership and obligations that are part of being a pet owner.
Contact a Field Officer
The Animal Control Officer (ACO) works in the field the majority of the time. To contact the officer, you may leave a message during office hours by calling 806-495-2811 ext. 105 or by emailing Eddie Pitts. Any messages left will be returned as soon as possible.Animal Control Responsibilities
The City of Post employs one Animal Control Officer who has several responsibilities, including:- Responding to calls about pets running loose (animal at large)
- Animal impoundment
- Investigating and responding to calls about animal cruelty
- Responding to calls about dangerous animals
- Providing humane live animal trap assistance
- Overseeing the daily operations of the animal shelter
